Mission Team

Written on March 27, 2012

A team of young adults from Morrilton, Arkansas, made sacrifices to come and spend a few days partnering with us!  They used vacation time, left their children and the comforts of home, traveled for two days, and spent some cash.  The team connected with Cross Point Christians by worshipping with and encouraging them (who couldn't use some Mugs-n-Kisses!), while also enjoying some good grub and competitive cornhole.  The team made an impact for Jesus in our city by:  yard clean-ups @ some senior resident homes, minor home projects, and servant evangelism among Lakewood businesses!  THANKFUL TO GOD for this team from Lonoke Baptist Church!

Relationships

Written on October 19, 2011

We have had some great opportunities to spend time with some unique guests over the last couple of weeks!  What a sweet time it was to meet and fellowship with the Bible Translaters, who work in Indonesia, that we have been partners with for four years.  And then more recently some senior adults from the church that planted Cross Point five years ago, Holland Chapel, made the long trip to Lakewood!  We've got relationships with God's children all over the world, and that's pretty cool; but, let's not forget to treasure the relationships we have with those in whom we live in community!  People are Priceless!

Mission Teams

Wow, so thankful to God for the students and youth leaders from Park Place Baptist Church and Friendship Baptist Church who came from Arkansas to partner with Cross Point for their summer mission trips this year.  They have honored Christ through their work and service: painting, serving meals, passing out frisbees and candy at the park, gift bags to local business, working our Vacation Bible School and KID FEST!

Osman Hope

Written on June 29, 2011

The Honduras Mission Trip Team is back.  God blessed the trip as the purpose was accomplished & His love was shown through service.  The team worked at two Osman Hope children shelters:  painting, construction on a kitchen, teaching & playing with the kids, and serving the children & their families a meal.
